Folkestone – A town located on the South East coast of Kent . Folkestone has wonderful sandy beaches, a population of over 50,000, lovely period architecture.

There is also a working harbour, wide promenade to stroll, and is know for its excellent band concerts.

The town dates back to the late 17 th century, and as you walk through the town you may wish to take a look at the Church of ‘Saint Mary and St Eanswythe’ rich in excellent memorials. Two memorials in bronze stand in the town, one to ‘William Harvey’, who was a friend of the son’s of Charles 1, and made valuable discoveries of human blood flows. The other memorial is for the thousands of soldiers who gave their lives for the survival and peace of us all.
